RYAN RAMIREZ

Contemporary

At the age of 16, Ryan Ramirez burst into the industry spotlight as the assistant to famed choreographer Mia Michaels. Mia saw her perform a self-choreographed solo and immediately asked Ryan if she would work with her. She assisted the Emmy award-winning choreographer on projects throughout the country and internationally, including So You Think You Can Dance in the United States and Canada, before becoming a top 12 finalist herself on season 8 of the show.

Her tv performance credits began at age 17 on Dancing with the Stars, and since then she has built an incredible resume. In television, she has appeared on shows such as Glee, House, The Voice, American Idol, X-Factor, American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson, The Emmys, Critics’ Choice Awards, Video Music Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Radio Disney Awards, and many more. She has traveled the world and performed with legendary artists such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Cher, and Jennifer Hudson, to name a few. You can also see her on the big screen, most recently in Academy Award Winning Film La La Land dancing alongside Ryan Gosling and John Legend.

Ryan is well known in the industry as a dancer/performer, but her first success as a young artist was actually as an innovative choreographer. That continues to be a driving force in her life and her career and has led to many amazing opportunities and experiences.  Recently she choreographed for Christina Aguilera’s “Liberation” tour, James Arthur on The Voice, and was co-choreographer on season 7 of Dance Moms. Choreography has always set her soul on fire and she is excited to see where that passion will lead next.
